Escazu Chocolates is a bean-to-bar chocolate maker that gets its beans from directly traded, organic, or fair-trade cocoa.
Each chocolate is a work of art on the outside with superb flavor on the inside; I know because I’ve been here several times to purchase their creations.
They also sell ice cream, hot chocolate, and offer curated gift boxes starting at $35.

Edge Of Urge
Edge of Urge has lots of unique jewelry, house decor, clothes, and gift items from local and independent artists.
It also has a really hip vibe. When I entered the store, I knew I wanted to bring my teenage daughter back with me the next time I visited.

Logan’s One Stop Garden Shop
I can’t believe I didn’t know about this charming yet spacious garden shop in downtown Raleigh before now.
Logan’s One Stop Garden Shop has everything from various plants and succulents to amazing home decor and gift items.
And if you need help decorating your Christmas tree, you’ve come to the right place. Just pick your ornaments right off the professionally decorated trees.

DECO Raleigh is one of the most well-known gift shops in the Raleigh area for a good reason.

House Of Swank Clothing
House of Swank is a fantastic local t-shirt and accessory shop in downtown Raleigh. They have a great selection of t-shirts that keep up with current affairs in a humorous way.
All shirts are screen printed right in their shop so they can stay on top of viral or pop-culture references. And reviewers love the quality and softness of their tees.
Another reason I love this store is because they support several local charities.

Marbles Corner Store
If you’re looking for any kind of children’s gift, visit the Marbles Corner Store, a part of the Marbles Kids Museum.
They have a fantastic selection of creative games, puzzles, science kits, and toys. They focus on educational yet whimsical children’s merchandise.

Who doesn’t love succulents?
I personally do because they are the only plant that I can keep alive.

Bella Vita Home + Lifestyle
Located in City Market on cobblestone streets, Bella Vita is oozing with charm, style, and impeccable customer service. I know because that’s what I experienced when I visited!
The store offers elegant and cozy home decor as well as locally made candles and soaps.
Your purchase comes in a beautiful gift sack or gift wrapped for a small fee.
I left with one of the best smelling candles I’ve found – Cellar by Porch Fly Supply Co. And the best part is that it’s made right in Raleigh, NC.

Raleigh Provisions
I always enjoy visiting Raleigh Provisions. It’s is a cozy store in downtown Raleigh that sells gourmet food and gifts from small North-Carolina based companies.
Some of my favorite items from the store include local honey, chocolates, soaps, and candies.
They have beautiful gift baskets on their website to make gift-giving a breeze.

Videri Chocolate Factory
Videri Chocolate Factory is an artisan chocolatier that makes amazing chocolates from bean to bar.
They offer chocolate bars, bonbons, hot chocolate mix, cocoa tea, cocoa nibs, and baking chocolate.
They also offer soft-serve ice cream with delicious toppings at their walk-up window.

Black & White Coffee at Videri
Black & White Coffee Roasters is located in the same building as Videri Chocolates. They also have a location in Wake Forest, NC, where they roast their beans.
And did you know they have some of the best beans in the world? Their beans have been to the World Barista Championship many times and have won at nationals.
You can buy a bag of coffee beans or get a cup of latte to enjoy in their lovely outdoor seating area.

The Flourish Market
The Flourish Market is another shop I want to take my teenage daughter to.
It’s an upbeat, friendly boutique with trendy clothes, candles, and spunky gifts like Schitt’s Creek magnets and coloring books.
I especially loved their shelf stocked with gifts under $20.

Raleigh Denim Workshop
Raleigh Denim Workshop makes most of their hand-crafted rustic jeans and apparel in-house. Their jeans are high-end and cost $200 – $400, but reviewers love the jeans and say they keep their quality and shape for years.
It’s a cool store to visit as you can actually see their factory full of sewing machines in the back of the store.

Urban Outfitters
Urban Outfitters is a global store that offers trendy clothes, jewelry, perfume, gift items, and decor.
Usually, you find this store in the mall, so I enjoy visiting this one in quaint downtown Raleigh.

Father & Son’s Antiques
At Father & Son’s, you’ll find a hip antique shop loaded with vintage clothing and decor.
And I love the upstairs space that’s filled with classic vinyl records.
The owners scour the country looking for the best pieces to add to their collection, and it shows. If you like thrift shopping, this store is a must.

Weaver Street Market
Have you ever wanted to be a part-owner of a grocery store?
Weaver Street Market is a co-op, and therefore owned by its shoppers and employees. You can buy shares in the company to help support their commitment to local, sustainable organic groceries.
Having a membership comes with perks like monthly coupons and the right to vote in board elections.
I love shopping here because they have a great selection of locally made gourmet foods that make for great gifts.

Revolver Consignment Boutique
Revolver Consignment Boutique is a high-end shop that specializes in vintage and designer clothing
You can find something in any price range. I was able to find a Calvin Klein dress for $20 and a fur Coat for $220.
I imagine this is the kind of shop that Dan Levy scoured to find clothes for the show Schitt’s Creek. Watch him talk about it here.

The Green Monkey
Don’t miss out on a trip to the Green Monkey. It’s a unique bottle shop with a quirky, fun gift store.
I mean, where else will you find bible-verse decor next to socks that joke about burning in hell?
You’ll also find beautiful locally-made soaps and jewelry along with hilarious coasters and t-shirts. This store has a lot of personality, as do the friendly owners.

Insomnia Cookies
You may wonder why I included a cookie shop on my Downtown Raleigh Shopping list.
#1 – Insomnia Cookies are incredibly delicious. I know, I tried three different flavors.
#2 – They would make the perfect gift for a birthday or the holidays. You can pick up a box of cookies for a friend, have a gift box shipped, or individually wrap cookies to give out to teachers or friends.

Carolina Popcorn Shoppe
Although Carolina Popcorn Shoppe is located a few miles from downtown Raleigh, I included it because it’s a great place to get a gift for a teacher, neighbor, friend, …or yourself.
You could gift a bag, fill one of their cute gift boxes with four bags, or buy a large, colorful tin filled with popcorn.

NOFO @ The Pig
Shopping at NOFO @ The Pig is a necessary Raleigh experience.
Housed in a building that used to be a Piggly Wiggly, NOFO is a large gift shop and Southern cafe combined.
You’ll find plenty to shop for here, including beautiful decor, clothing, gourmet food products, and a vast assortment of gift items.

Shops At Cameron Village
One mile northwest of downtown Raleigh is the chic shopping center of Cameron Village, where you’ll find fashion, gift stores, home goods, and plenty of great restaurants.
I’ll highlight some of my favorite spots here, but I encourage you to stop by for a visit because there are too many great stores to mention.
Tin Roof Teas
I love visiting Tin Roof Teas. It sells beautiful teapots, mugs, and all kinds of specialty teas like Pumpkin Cream Rooibus, Walnut Cream Cake, and Hot Cider Honeybush.
They sell bulk teas and specialty blends with all kinds of health benefits. I picked up one for inflammation called Fields of Gold.
They’ll even custom-blend a tea if you can’t find what you’re looking for.

Francesca’s
This quickly became one of my favorite clothing stores after just one visit.
At Francesca’s, you’ll find trendy, affordable clothing in a small boutique-like setting.
They also offer perfumes, skincare products, and wonderful gift items.
They have fabulous sales making the already great prices even better.

The Local Squirrel
The Local Squirrel is a local, women-owned lifestyle boutique. I love the bright, whimsical feel the store exudes.
They sell locally made gifts, small accessories, home decor, art, jewelry, paper, cards, and baby products.

Capital RunWalk
Capital RunWalk is a specialty store that caters to runners and walkers.
They feature top brands like Brooks, Asics, Saucony, Nike, New Balance, Hoka, and many more.
I purchased a pair of Cloudflyer running shoes from On that give my feet fantastic support with its helion super foam and a light-weight design.
They are the most comfortable running shoes I’ve owned. Whenever I run into someone who also owns a pair of On running shoes, we end up having a conversation about how comfortable they are. The last person I met has plantar fasciitis and said they are the only running shoes she will buy.

Fab’rik
The philosophy of Fab’rik is to provide high-quality clothing with an affordable price tag. Every item in the store is guaranteed to be under $100 (other than the designer jeans).
Owner Dana Spinola’s original store in Atlanta was so successful she’s opened more than 40 other Fab’rik locations.
You’ll love the charity work Dana engages in – her stores host pop-up boutiques at safe houses where girls that have been victimized by sex trafficking can shop for free.

Nadeau
If you like the furniture at World Market, you’ll love Nadeau. They feature handcrafted solid wood furniture from India and Indonesia.
Every piece I saw there was beautiful and a great price for the quality.
They rarely have more than one of the same item, so if you see something you like, snag it.

Fifi’s Fine Resale Apparel
My hairdresser clued me into this fantastic consignment shop in Cameron Village.
Fifi’s offers gently used brand-name clothing like the Banana Republic, Juicy Couture, Coach, J Crew, and many more. They even carry a wide selection of designer denim like Citizens of Humanity and Rock & Republic.
I picked up some fantastic jeans here, and I plan to go back to do more shopping.
