You’ll Love What’s Being Added to the Krispy Kreme Menu in New Stores

(Update – This Krispy Kreme location no longer serves ice cream. 😭 I’m not crying, you’re crying.)

You may think I’m going to tell you that Krispy Kreme is adding a new doughnut flavor or coffee drink to the menu.

Boring!

It’s much more exciting than that.  This delicious doughnut supplier already has enough tempting flavors to draw in the crowds.

What Krispy Kreme is adding to their new menu is ice cream, in unique and exciting ways; and the option to customize your very own doughnut.

Jump in the car honey we’re headed to Krispy Kreme!

At least that’s what I said to my 17-year-old daughter when I heard about the news.

And how can anyone say “no” to an invitation like that?

You see, we happen to live just two hours away from Concord Mills, North Carolina, where the first brand new Krispy Kreme store recently opened, so we were both excited to try out the new ‘tasty treats’ being offered there.

Krispy Kreme plans to open 44 more stores just like this one, but lucky for us, Krispy Kreme is trying out this new concept just down the interstate from us.

Apparently, we weren’t the only ones That Wanted Doughnuts and Ice Cream

We arrived in the early afternoon, on a weekday thinking we would avoid all the crowds.

Were we wrong!

The parking lot was loaded with cars filling up the two drive-thrus. There was even a police officer guiding traffic.

To get inside, we had to wait in line for about 10 minutes, and even then, they were only letting in a few people at a time.

I don’t know why, but it’s mesmerizing to watch the doughnuts go from the fryer to the oven and on to be glazed.

I know these doughnuts look perfect now – but oh my hot, gooey, goodness, wait till you see what comes next!

Which one was my favorite, you ask? The one with the lemon glaze, fruity topping and marshmallow drizzle was pretty darn good.

Oh, and here’s a chocolate-filled delicious little guy that we very much enjoyed!

We also ordered a Strawberry Doughnut Infused Milkshake, too, but my daughter devoured most of it before I could get my camera out.
